Kalimantan Tengah's Population Expenditure Inequality Rate September 2020

In September 2020, the level of inequality in population spending in Central Kalimantan as measured by the Gini Ratio was 0.320 points. This figure decreased by 0.009 points when compared to March 2020 which was 0.329. The Gini Ratio in urban areas was recorded at 0.357, while in rural areas in September 2020 it was recorded at 0.290. The distribution of population expenditure in the lowest 40 percent group in September 2020 was recorded at 20.86 percent, in the category of low inequality.

Kalimantan Tengah's poverty profile September 2020

The number of poor people in Central Kalimantan in September 2020 was recorded at 141.78 thousand people. This number increased by 8.8 thousand people compared to March 2020. In urban areas, the percentage of poor people in March 2020 was 4.62 percent. In the same period, the percentage of poor people in rural areas increased to 5.50 percent. The three types of food commodities that have the greatest influence are rice, filter kretek cigarettes, and broiler meat.
