Happy National Batik Day 2024

Data friends, October 2 is commemorated as National Batik Day after batik was recognized as an intangible cultural heritage by UNESCO in 2009. This recognition took place at the 4th session of the Intergovernmental Committee on Intangible Cultural Heritage in Abu Dhabi on October 2, 2009 as Part of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity or the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

National Batik Day is commemorated every October 2 according to Presidential Decree Number 33 of 2009 issued on November 17, 2009

The commemoration of National Batik Day 2024 has the theme Proud of Batik, which is echoed as a form of maintaining the identity of the Indonesian nation and being proud of the cultural heritage that is recognized worldwide.
