Every year, February 20 is commemorated as National Workers' Day. This is because on February 20, 1973, the Indonesian Workers' Union/All-Indonesian Workers' Federation (FBSI) was declared.

The Open Unemployment Rate (TPT) in Kalimantan Tengah in 2024 is 4.01 percent. This figure shows that out of every 100 people in the workforce, around 4 of them are unemployed. The workforce is the working age population (15 years and over) who are working or looking for work.

The TPT in 2024 decreased by 0.09 percentage points compared to August 2023, where the TPT was recorded at 4.10 percent.
