Dharma Wanita Persatuan (DWP) BPS Kalimantan Tengah Province held its first routine meeting in 2025 which was held in the BPS Hall of Kalimantan Tengah Province. This meeting invited DWP advisors, DWP BPS heads of districts/cities throughout Central Kalimantan, DWP members and BPS Kalimantan Tengah Province employees. Friday (14/2).

This routine meeting was filled with practical material on making aromatherapy candles from used cooking oil by Mrs. Hayu Hartanti, Chair of DWP BPS Kalimantan Tengah Province. This material was motivated by concerns about the large amount of used cooking oil produced by households. Based on SUSENAS data for March 2024, the average consumption of cooking oil in Kalimantan Tengah in 2024 was 1.05 liters per capita per month.

Through the practice of making products from used cooking oil, DWP mothers and employees can be more aware of the importance of reducing used cooking oil waste and protecting the environment. In addition, by changing used cooking oil into aromatherapy candles, it can also reduce the amount of waste and make the environment cleaner.
