Import of Dates Ahead of Ramadan

Hi Data Friends, do you see the dates above like cockroaches? If so, keep up the spirit of fasting. Did you know that Indonesia imported more dates in January 2025 compared to December 2024?

BPS noted that in December 2024, Indonesia imported more than 10 thousand tons of dates. In January 2025, date imports increased to more than 16 thousand tons*, or an increase of more than 60% compared to the previous month.

*The January 2025 import figure is a Provisional Figure.
