Abstract

The number of passengers through sea transportation rose 64.10 percent from 49,438 people (May 2019) to 81,129 people (June 2019).
  • The flow of goods through the sea fell 21.86 percent from 1.45 million tons (May 2019) to 1.13 million tons (June 2019). The decrease came from the volume of cargo loading (16.87 percent) and unloading of goods (33.04 percent).
  • Flight frequency rose 4.25 percent from 1,836 flights (May 2019) to 1,914 flights (June 2019).
  • The number of passengers through air transportation also rose 34.73 percent from 116,131 people (May 2019) to 156,464 people (June 2019).
  • Air flow of goods through air rose 39.76 percent from 1,225 tons (May 2019) to 1,712 tons (June 2019). The increase came from the volume of unloading of goods (10.83 percent) and loading of goods (91.36 percent).
  • Through seaports, passenger activity is concentrated in Kumai (60.55 percent) and goods in Sampit (45.48 percent). While through the airport, it is still concentrated in Tjilik Riwut, both passenger activities (47.46 percent) and goods flow (57.77 percent).
