May 2021: Palangka Raya experiences 0.45% inflation and Sampit inflation 0.40%

Abstract

Of the 90 cities monitored by the national CPI, 78 cities experienced inflation and 12 cities experienced deflation during May 2021. The highest deflation occurred in Timika (0.83 percent) and the highest inflation was in Manokwari (1.82 percent). Palangka Raya is ranked 23rd city of inflation, while Sampit is ranked 29th city of inflation.
  • Inflation in Palangka Raya (0.45 percent) was influenced by an increase in the price index in the food, beverage and tobacco group (1.00 percent), the personal care and other services group (0.88 percent), and the clothing and footwear group (0 .52 percent).
  • Inflation in Sampit (0.40 percent) was influenced by an increase in the price index in the food, beverage and tobacco group (0.85 percent), the personal care and other services group (0.50) and the clothing and footwear group (0.34 percent). ).
  • Based on the two reference cities (Palangka Raya and Sampit), Central Kalimantan experienced inflation (0.43 percent), calendar year inflation rate (0.98 percent), and year-on-year inflation rate (1.50 percent).
