Abstract

The export value of Kalimantan Tengah in May 2021 reached US$284.43 million, an increase of 15.76 percent compared to exports in April 2021 and an increase of 160.49 percent compared to May 2020.
  • Coal, palm oil and gold are Kalimantan Tengah's main export commodities during May 2021.
  • China, Japan and Malaysia are the main export destinations for Kalimantan Tengah during May 2021.
  • Cumulatively, Kalimantan Tengah's export value increased by 45.87 percent, from US$821.23 million (January – May 2020) to US$1,197.89 million (January – May 2021).
  • Kalimantan Tengah's import value during May 2021 reached US$3.26 million, up 30.40 percent compared to April 2021 and down 1.51 percent compared to May 2020.
  • Cumulatively, the import value increased by 46.77 percent from US$13.79 million (January – May 2020) to US$20.24 million (January – May 2021).
  • Kalimantan Tengah's foreign trade balance experienced a surplus of US$281.17 million in May 2021 and US$1,177.65 million in the period January – May 2021.
