August 2021: The number of sea and air transportation passengers increased compared to July 2021, by 53.86% and 30.80%, respectively.

Abstract

The frequency of ship visits at ports in the Kalimantan Tengah region rose 9.49 percent, from 653 visits (July 2021) to 715 visits (August 2021).
  • The number of sea transport passengers rose 53.86 percent, from 7,256 people (July 2021) to 11,164 people (August 2021).
  • Freight traffic using sea transportation decreased by 17.28 percent, from 1.83 million tons (July 2021) to 1.51 million tons (August 2021).
  • Sea transportation passenger activities are concentrated in Kumai Port (73.41 percent), while the volume of goods flows at Sampit Port (48.04 percent).
  • Flight frequency decreased by 15.94 percent, from 621 flights (July 2021) to 522 flights (August 2021).
  • The number of air transport passengers increased by 30.80 percent, from 16,292 people (July 2021) to 21,310 people (August 2021).
  • Freight traffic using air transportation rose 4.01 percent, from 1,047 tons (July 2021) to 1,089 tons (August 2021).
