January 2022: The number of air and sea transport passengers decreased by 9.23 percent and 6.62 percent compared to December 2021

Abstract

Flight frequency increased by 8.75 percent, from 891 flights (December 2021) to 969 flights (January 2022).
  • The number of air transport passengers rose 9.23 percent, from 67,842 people (December 2021) to 74,106 people (January 2022).
  • Freight traffic using air transportation rose 8.09 percent, from 828 tons (December 2021) to 895 tons (January 2022).
  • The frequency of ship visits at ports in the Kalimantan Tengah region decreased by 5.25 percent, from 648 visits (December 2021) to 614 visits (January 2022).
  • The number of sea transport passengers rose 6.62 percent, from 23,190 people (December 2021) to 24,725 people (January 2022).
  • Freight traffic using sea transportation decreased by 24.70 percent, from 2.05 million tons (December 2021) to 1.55 million tons (January 2022).
  • Sea transportation passenger activities are concentrated in Kumai Port (72.70 percent), while the volume of goods flows at Sampit Port (57.39 percent).
