April 2023: Palangka Raya experienced inflation of 0.32 percent and Sampit experienced inflation of 0.08 percent

Abstract

In April 2023, the combined inflation for the City of Palangka Raya and Sampit was 0.23 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 116.76. Of the 90 CPI cities in Indonesia, 77 cities experienced inflation, while 13 cities experienced deflation. The highest inflation occurred in Jayapura at 1.44 percent with a CPI of 112.18, while the deepest deflation occurred in Meulaboh at 0.70 percent with a CPI of 118.44.
  • The combined inflation for the cities of Palangka Raya and Sampit in April 2023 occurred due to an increase in the price index in the personal care and other services group (0.76 percent), the food, beverage and tobacco group (0.54 percent), the food and beverage provider group. / restaurant (0.04 percent), equipment, equipment and household routine maintenance (0.03 percent), transportation (0.03 percent), and clothing and footwear group (0.02 percent).
  • Calendar year inflation (April 2023 to December 2022) for the combined Municipalities of Palangka Raya and Sampit was recorded at 0.97 percent and year-on-year inflation (April 2023 against April 2022) was 4.85 percent.
  • Commodities providing inflation loans in April 2023 include rice, filter clove cigarettes, gold jewelry, tomatoes, water spinach, purebred chicken eggs, snakehead fish, intercity transportation, clove cigarettes and garlic.
  • Commodities that contributed to deflation in April 2023 included bird's eye chili, purebred chicken, Muslim women's clothing, shallots, cooking oil, watermelon, cement, catfish, beef and catfish.
