Abstract

The Kalimantan Tengah Gender Inequality Index (IKG) for 2022 is 0.526, down 0.011 points compared to 2021 which was 0.537.
  • The decline in the Kalimantan Tengah Gender Inequality Index (IKG) was mainly influenced by improvements in the reproductive health dimension and the empowerment dimension.
  • The improvement in the reproductive health dimension was influenced by the improvement in the indicators of women giving birth not in health facilities which fell from 42.1 percent in 2021 to 32.4 percent in 2022.
  • The improvement in the dimension of empowerment was influenced by the improvement in the indicator that the percentage of women 25 years and over with senior high school education and above increased higher than that of men. The percentage of women will increase from 29.37 percent in 2021 to 30.30 percent, while the percentage of men will increase from 33.93 percent to 34.54 percent in 2022.
