Kalimantan Tengah’s GRDP Growth Rate in 2024 was 4.46 percent

Abstract

The economy of Central Kalimantan based on the size of the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) at current prices in 2024 reached IDR 222.9 trillion, at constant prices in 2010 it reached IDR 118.7 trillion.
The economy of Central Kalimantan in 2024 grew by 4.46 percent. From the production side, Government Administration, Defense and Compulsory Social Security experienced the highest growth of 9.18 percent. Meanwhile, from the expenditure side, the Consumption Expenditure Component of Non-Profit Institutions Serving Households (PK-LNPRT) experienced the highest growth of 16.54 percent.
The economy of Central Kalimantan in the fourth quarter of 2024 compared to the fourth quarter of 2023 (y-on-y) experienced a growth of 4.43 percent. From the production side, the highest growth occurred in the Government Administration, Defense and Compulsory Social Security Business Field of 13.75 percent. Meanwhile, in terms of expenditure, the highest growth occurred in the Non-Profit Institutions Serving Households Consumption Expenditure Component (PK-LNPRT) at 12.16 percent.
The Central Kalimantan economy in the fourth quarter of 2024 compared to the third quarter of 2024 experienced growth of 8.29 percent (q-to-q). In terms of production, the highest growth was achieved by the Government Administration, Defense and Mandatory Social Security category which grew by 34.39 percent. Meanwhile, in terms of expenditure, the Government Consumption Expenditure Component (PK-P) experienced the highest growth of 21.13 percent.The spatial structure of the Kalimantan economy in 2024 is still dominated by East Kalimantan Province at 47.29 percent. Central Kalimantan Province is in fourth place with a contribution of 12.28 percent.
