Human Development Index of Kalimantan Tengah Province 2017

The concept of human development is measured using a basic human three-dimensional approach, namely long and healthy life, knowledge, and a decent standard of living. Long and healthy dimensions of life are represented by indicators of life expectancy at birth. Knowledge dimensions are represented by indicators of school long-term expectations and average length of schooling. Meanwhile, the dimensions of the standard of living are worthy of being represented by per capita expenditure. These three dimensions are summarized in a composite index called the Human Development Index (HDI).

BPS noted that the 2017 Kalimantan Tengah Human Development Index has reached 69.79 and is still in the "medium" category of human development. The progress of human development in Kalimantan Tengah is driven by the progress of the indicators that make up the HDI.
