Analysis of Human Development Index of Kalimantan Tengah 2020

Human development as a measure of overall development performance is formed through a three-dimensional approach, namely longevity and healthy living, knowledge, and a decent standard of living. The dimensions of longevity and healthy life are represented by indicators of life expectancy at birth. The knowledge dimension is represented by indicators of expected length of schooling and average length of schooling, while the dimension of decent living standards is represented by adjusted per capita expenditure. All indicators that represent these three dimensions are summarized in a single value, namely the Human Development Index (HDI) number.HDI figures are presented at the national, provincial and district / city levels. The presentation of HDI by region allows each province and district / city to know the map of human development in terms of achievements, positions, and disparities between regions. Thus, it is hoped that each region can be motivated to strive to improve development performance by increasing the basic capacity of the population.
