Sosialization of SEEA, Economic-Environment Statistics

Sosialization of SEEA, Economic-Environment Statistics

April 5, 2017 | BPS Activities

Post-2015, sosio-ecomonic development agenda shifted from the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). SDGs contains three dimensions, namely, economic, social, and environmental. Indonesia committed to implement because SDGs development is in line with goals and objective development as set out in RPJMN 2016-2019.

Key factor of successful implementation of SDGs is the availability of data. Currently, statistics to monitor the interactions between the economy and the environment and the state of the environment to better inform decision-making is still very limited. Therefore, BPS-Statistcs Indonesia develops and builds the Integrated System of Environmental and Economic Balance (Sisnerling) continually. Sisnerling refers to the System of Environmental-Economic Accounting (SEEA).

In order to introduce the implementation of SEEA in Sisnerling Indonesia, BPS-Statistics of Kalimantan Tengah Province organized a socialization on 5-6 April 2017 by inviting 10 stakeholders. That event also conducted an indepth study training Sisnerling implementation of SEEA in Indonesia. It was expected that early socialization can be continued and developed so that stakeholders understand and support these activities and ultimately benefit and can meet the needs of stakeholders related to the provision of data Sisnerling and SDGs.
