Abstract

The number of passengers through sea transportation rose 12.48 percent from 19,270 people (March 2019) to 21,674 people (April 2019).
  • Sea freight traffic flowed down 6.18 percent from 1.38 million tons (March 2019) to 1.30 million tons (April 2019). The decrease came from the volume of cargo loading (8.91 percent).
  • Flight frequency dropped 5.98 percent from 1,740 flights (March 2019) to 1,636 flights (April 2019).
  • The number of passengers through air transportation fell 5.02 percent from 125,858 people (March 2019) to 119,534 people (April 2019).
  • The flow of goods traffic through the air also fell 12.74 percent from 1,303 tons (March 2019) to 1,137 tons (April 2019). The decrease came from the loading volume of goods (22.25 percent).
  • Through seaports, passenger activity is concentrated in Kumai (61.89 percent) and goods in Sampit (52.53 percent). While through the airport, it is still concentrated in Tjilik Riwut, both passenger activities (52.03 percent) and goods (53.21 percent).
