Abstract

  • The number of guests staying at star hotels fell by 51.26 percent, from 23,885 people (February 2020) to 11,642 people (March 2020). The number of guests staying at non-star hotels also dropped by 13.74 percent, from 64,608 people (February 2020) to 55,730 people (March 2020).
  • Cumulatively, the number of guests staying at star hotels fell by 17.04 percent, from 68,964 people (January-March 2019) to 57,210 people (January-March 2020). In contrast, the number of guests at non-star hotels rose by 23.21 percent, from 154,375 people (January-March 2019) to 190,199 people (January-March 2020).
  • Room occupancy rate (TPK) of star hotels fell 12.42 points, from 48.28 percent (February 2020) to 35.86 percent (March 2020). In the same period, the ROR of non-star hotels also dropped 5.27 points, from 21.30 percent (February 2020) to 16.03 percent (March 2020).
  • The average length of stay (RLTM) in a star hotel (1.55 days) is longer than that in non-star hotels (1.18 days).
