March 2021: The number of sea and air passengers increases by 19.55% and 31.04% respectively compared to February 2021

Abstract

The frequency of visits by ships at the ports of the Kalimantan Tengah region increased by 24.49 percent, from 633 visits (February 2021) to 788 visits (March 2021).
  • The number of sea transport passengers increased by 19.55 percent, from 14,449 people (February 2021) to 17,274 people (March 2021).
  • Freight traffic using sea transportation increased by 5.95 percent, from 1.47 million tons (February 2021) to 1.56 million tons (March 2021).
  • Sea transport passenger activities are concentrated in Kumai Port (73.30 percent), while the volume of goods flows at Sampit Port (52.46 percent).
  • The frequency of flights increased by 34.92 percent, from 776 flights (February 2021) to 1,047 flights (March 2021).
  • The number of air transport passengers increased by 31.04 percent, from 48,600 people (February 2021) to 63,684 people (March 2021).
  • Freight traffic using air transport increased by 13.80 percent, from 790 tons (February 2021) to 899 tons (March 2021).
