Abstract

Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) is a comparison of the price index received by farmers (It) to the price index paid by farmers (Ib) multiplied by 100.
NTP is an indicator to see the level of ability/purchasing power of farmers in rural areas. NTP also shows the exchangeability (terms of trade) of agricultural products for goods and services consumed and for production costs.
The Combined NTP of Kalimantan Tengah Province in May 2025 increased by 0.10 percent compared to April 2025, namely from 134.15 to 134.29. This increase was due to the increase in the exchange rate in several subsectors, namely Food Crops (0.24 percent), Community Plantation Crops (0.36 percent), Livestock (1.20 percent), and Fisheries (0.19 percent).
In May 2025, there was a decrease in the Household Consumption Index (IKRT) in Kalimantan Tengah Province by 0.12 percent due to a decrease in the index in the Food, Beverages, and Tobacco group (0.20 percent); the Information, Communication, and Financial Services group (0.01 percent); and the Personal Care and Other Services group (0.15 percent).
The Agricultural Household Business Exchange Rate (NTUP) of Kalimantan Tengah Province in May 2025 decreased by 0.04 percent, from 138.76 (April 2025) to 138.71 (May 2025).
